Description
What can I say? I have become addicted to Dan Smith's artwork! During the 1920's and early 30's Dan Smith did serials for the Sunday Magazine Supplements for the newspapers. The Circus Baby ran from September 16, 1928 - December 2, 1928 for a total of 12 episodes. He drew these episodes huge, almost Hal Foster size! I have included some tear sheets from other episodes as well.

Wonderful piece as the horse's movements and musculature must be studied to present properly in illustrated form.  Smith's artwork exceeds in bringing it to life believably in this large format to stress the creature's fluidity in movement and majesty.
