Description

A great BATTLE page from what has become one of my favorite ASM issues ever! The issue that brought the wonderful character of REK-RAP (Bizarro Spider-Man) to life. Please check out the three pages featuring that character that I posted earlier this week. Here's his 1st appearance splash:

In this issue, we also get the first appearance of the Insidious Six, a group of demons who are morphed into a warped version of the Sinister Six. They are: Doctor Octoball, The Grave Goblin, Rhiceratops, Kraken The Hunter, Lizzaro and the Gorepion.

Here on this page we have Spidey getting 'pinged' from side to side by four of these Insidious Teammates. Note that Grave Goblin's glider is ... yes that's right ... a coffin. Hahaha! I just love it.

The Goblin is riding a coffin?! That's AMAZEBALLS! Speaking of balls, the demon in the 3rd panel really reminds me of ads I used to see for a toy. I think they were called "Mad Balls" or something like that. Anyway, really fun stuff!

McGuinness designing and playing with new toys! All the grotesque and gross out monsters bulked up so they can withstand some rough play!
