Pooh's Grand Adventure: The Search for Christopher Robin Winnie the Pooh Storybook Preliminary Illustrations by John Kurtz Original Art plus Front Cover Print and Text Overlays Group of 10 (Walt Disney/Scholastic, 1997). Winnie the Pooh struggles to understand why Christopher Robin must go away each day (to school), in this children's storybook based on the film, one of several Pooh books illustrated by John Kurtz. Here's a superb group of six hand-signed preliminary illustrations in graphite made for the book, plus three text overlays on acetate and a color print of the book's front cover. The art includes: a double-page spread for pages 4/5, with an approximate image size of 16" x 10" to 6.25" on 17" x 11" paper; a double-page spread for pages 16-17, image size 16" x 6.25" on 17" x 10.75" paper; a double-page spread for pages 24/25, image size 8" x 7.5" and 8" x 10" on 17" x 11" paper; a double-page spread including Christopher Robin for pages 26/27, image size 16" x 7" on 11" x 17" paper; and two layout drawings, for page 30 with image size 6" x 6.25" on 8.5" x 13.75" paper, and page 31, image size 6" x 6.5" on 7.5" x 13.75" paper. Also included are three double-page text overlays on acetate (in Good condition) measuring 16.5" x 11", and a color copy of the front cover as published. Art condition is Very Good with minor handling wear and some tape stains.
