Very poignant. The contrast of the content with the lighter style is a good balance. Some have said that Satrapi is the poorman's David B but based on the prices of these pages I am not sure but the reverse might be true. You picked a great example as always. Nothing but the best!!
It's a very strong page in how the story of torture is relayed so casually while bringing the family closer together to listen in shock. Visually strong with the black interiors background that put heavier focus on the faces.

Fantastic page, Chris, made all the more poignant after the shocking passing of Marjane at 56. An important piece of comic history and world history, it humanizes the famlies of Iranians and the casual nature of their conversation about torture is all the more chilling when contrasted with her striking artwork. A treasure indeed.
