Description

A nice daily from those first few weeks of the strip. Part of the bliss of owning this are the chest pains this and the other one from 1957 I have give Ruben. Starr was very consistent through the first decade or so of these with great art but there is something special about the first two years.

#@!$% Wtf are you posting strips that belong to me in your gallery! Okay, in my view Starr's work actually peaks in the 1963-65 years, but the reason I like the 57's (and '58s and '59s) is becaise of my love for the overall aesthetics of the 1950's in general. The period clothing, haistyles, automobiles, architecture, etc. So yes, I prefer to have the art which isn't quite at its peak, in exchange for the aesthetics of the decade those earlier ones take place and were drawn in.

Adams, Byrne, Pérez, Raymond, Frazetta, Bilal, Sienkiewicz, etc. I pass on all of them! All I ask for are Grummett and Starr and leave the rest to everyone else. Mary Perkins, Superboy, Superman & New Titans. Is that REALLY still too much to ask?!?!
