Jae makes something special and creatively unique out of everything he touches! I love especially the flowing cartridge belt! Huge congrats!

This looks so cool in black and white. Really cool to see this era Jae Lee doing Punisher.

It's like Jae knew they were going to take Punisher into a supernatural direction a decade before Marvel Knights actually did it!  Everything besides the torso could be applied to a Sandman book!

Fascinating early Punisher pinup by the great Jae Lee. This is a very stylized Punisher, standing amidst the flames of whatever he's just blown up or possibly the flames of wherever he's headed after a lifetime of killing. Either way, he's clearly unafraid of what he's done or what he faces. I'm fascinated by this early style of Jae Lee, it's interesting to see how he renders Punisher's leather jacket, for instance, depicting it with simply a series of shadows and not outlining it at all. The fumes rising on both sides of him are like the twisting smoke from a dozen lighted cigarettes. The Bandolier around his body is like a railroad track. His legs disappear into the ground which seems to be sprouting tendrills. This early work of Jae Lee is very, very interesting and so different from what he does today. But it's cool nonetheless.

Not a Marvel guy but even I could appreciate the beauty of this piece. Congrats yet again.

Liking that stylization...Lee definitely had a unique look in the '90s.  Totally stood out, and was a nice mix of house style with what he does today.  Congrats!

This stylized version of the Punisher would make a great tall tale comic book of him, narroated by those who embellish to make them seem more than what they really are. "Seven feet tall he was, with arms like tree trunks and his eyes were like steel, cold, hard. Had a shock of hair, red like the fires of Hell."
