Description
Wonder Woman #232 p9 (1977) Mike Nasser / Vince Colletta

Story page #9; comic page #13

Not much Justice Society of America artwork from this time period and you get that dynamic oversized first panel as the JSA is freed from captivity along with that great bottom panel of Diana.

It was only a couple of years into my comic collecting and the artwork in this issue stood out to me even back then as being exceptional. This issue made me a Nasser fan for sure. Pages from this issue rarely come up for sale but I was fortunate to snag this one on ComicLink back in 2018. I was excited when a page came up in Heritage recently and bids were reasonable going into the live auction ... and then I was blown out of the water by the closing bid. At this point it doesn't look like I'll be acquiring more pages from this issue given that sale, so I thought I'd share this outstanding artwork with everyone to enjoy it as much as I do. Hopefully that Heritage sale was an outlier and I'll have a chance for more pages in the future.

Eveyone upped their game during 1977!  Lot of new and exciting talent entered the field and this showed the influence of Nasser's time at Continuity Studios.  Greater detail in anatomy and having a team lined up in two different ways with expressive faces and body language throughout made his work more exciting from start to finish.

This is one excellent page. Love the 3rd panel!

I echo your sentiment in the description. I too was lucky in having acquired a nice page from the issue before the door slammed...

Great issue - and that's a brilliant page from it! It's so good to see the JSA members, even if they are trying to kill Diana. Great page!
