Description

In a Russian library, Martin asks a monk for assistance. Look at all those books! Martin is impressed as well.

“Devils of hell... how wonderful!”

“Mghrr.. rghmm?”

“Yes, old man. These volumes are certainly a few hundred years old.”

“Good morning, gentlemen.”

“Oh, good morning... you speak English, thank goodness.” (The text is still in Italian, though)

“Well, what's strange about that? Everyone speaks it now, and for those who do my job it's especially indispensable. It's really strange, however, to receive visitors here, you know. Everyone stops to photograph the church, with their noses in the air and their cell phones pointed, and then they leave. Few of them want to stick their noses in a book.”

“Even though we are in one of the oldest libraries in the Urals area. Right?”

“You are well informed. Do you understand books?”

“Mghrr! Rgh! Mgh!”

“Well, if understanding them means accumulating them in a sometimes compulsive way, then yes, let's say I understand something about them.”

“I'm glad, but I must warn you. If you are looking for some ancient volumes, you are welcome, and I will do my best to be of service. but the conversations you have had among yourselves since you entered have been overheard, and have been reported to me immediately. You have mentioned very specific names, gentlemen. I must therefore ask you what the purpose of your visit is, and be honest.”

“You are right, but the truth is that we do not know what we are looking for here either...”

“Uhm... wait a moment...”

What a glorious environment! Meticulous artistry in the grand library interiors. What are the odds that they find the exact book with all the answers without using the dewey decimal system?
