The Dude stole his classic line from Garfield years later, but that's just like my opinion, man.

I have a couple Garfield strips where Jon says something. Then silence from Garfield in the second panel. Then he delivers his line. Setup, pause, delivery. Perfection from my favorite fat cat.

Ink and screentone over blue pencil on Bristol board with an image area of 14" x 4". Slight toning, discolored shading film, with light smudging/handling wear.
