Description
Pazu taking in the sight of the endless houses that have slowly become part of the cliffsides and getting ready to sound his trumpet to wake the town as the sun rises on a beautiful morning. Meanwhile, a whole host of Miyazaki's signature aircraft travels the skies.

Many thanks to Sean of Athenaeum Comic Art for setting this up. As a big fan of Tillie's work, On a Sunbeam in particular, I was sad I missed out on Tillie's first list last year but told Sean to keep me updated should she want to take on more in the future. Luckily, I didn't have to wait too long.

I gave the following prompt: "If you could adapt any Hayao Miyazaki work, what would your favourite scene/moment look like on the page?" and added I was open to going further than the standard 9x12 offered. Tillie proposed to do a super detailed illustration from the mining town of Castle in the Sky on 11x17, lo and behold the end result. A terrific piece if you ask me, that will be at the center of my Miyazaki collection!

Breathtaking with the main character being the environment itself full of the Miyazaki aesthetic.  A pleasant mix of technology in harmony with the world that Walden made it so you can continue to explore every time you visit.

Wow!! Best thing I have seen on CAF in weeks.  Nice to see it in the Best of Contest.  It is getting one of my votes.

Tillie really did an amazing job, and it actually looks even better in person too. I only received it today after the usual troubles with the postal service and snapped a quick picture, but almost all of the colour got lost in the initial scan.
