DescriptionWell, you probably already know I have a sort of thing for Disney Xmas covers, it's one of my favorite themes!This magnificent cover was published as three separate pieces for Topolino magazine #3350, #3551, and #3552 in 2023, it features both Disney ducks and mice families (and friends) together, around the Xmas tree and amidst gift packages. And there’s also Santa at the door! If you're wondering why Scrooge appears tormented by nightmares in his sleep, that's related to the cover being inspired by the amazing story "Zio Paperone e la lampada bisestile" (written by Marco Nucci and illustrated by Stefano Intini) where Scrooge expresses the wish to delete Xmas and his wish is granted, causing all sorts of issues (just imagine the lives of everybody if Xmas never existed), not only in this story but also in all the other ones present in Topolino magazine from #3550 to #3552. Also, the (digital) colors contribute to the mood, it starts blue and gloomy (#3550) but it ends bright, colorful, and joyous. A curiosity is related to Donald's head, it was changed at the last moment (see the additional images) probably because, even though it worked perfectly as a single image, they wanted to have a character looking towards the camera/reader in the single cover (#3551).
