The Pit

Tarzan goes after some trappers who have been using inhumane method to catch their prey.
He captured and put into a pit with other prisoners. Tarzan escapes the pit with the help of Cheetah. He then frees the animals that have been caught by the trappers.

Doug Wildey (1922 – 1994) was an cartoonist and comic book artist best known for originally conceptualizing and co-creating the classic 1964 American animated television series Jonny Quest for Hanna-Barbera Productions.
Wildey worked primarily on Western comics in the 50's, for Youthful Magazines and Atlas Comics (precursor to Marvel). He also contributed to the horror fantasy comics put out by Atlas.
He worked on the Saint comic strip in the early 60's before moving on to animation work.
He returned to comics in 1965 working for Harvey and Western.
