Description
Zoe is one of my favourite artists working, but doesn't take on too many commissions to the best of my knowledge. She did, however, take on a small list for Lake Como this year and opened her commission list for mail order in conjunction with her appearance at the convention. Andrew (Kinetic Collectibles) was very upfront in that it might take quite a while for her to finish these, but luckily for me I got word a few days later she was going to tackle mine first!

The given subject was of course "Hayao Miyazaki, artist's choice", for which Zoe chose to go with Spirited Away. Technically, commissions were supposed to be single figure, but Zoe's decision to include No-Face holding the lantern as the menacing shadow looming over Chihiro and everybody's favorite shitty frog (+ cute soot sprites!) really creates a stunning small scene as the end result.

A4

P.S. Zoe posted a digitally colored version of the piece she did for fun to her socials at some point, I've included the low-res download of that in the additional images.

I think Zoe substituted her younger self for Chihiro!

One of the ways she visualized her mental health struggles in 'It's Lonely at the Centre of the Earth' was with a creature/spirit very akin to No-Face, so it wouldn't surprise me.

Six characters for the price of one! Plus a mouth full of scary teeth.
