Wow! Absolutely speechless is probably the best way to sum up my reaction when I unboxed this piece. Mark is absolutely a name that I�ve followed throughout my entire comics experience from the snippets of his color job on the extremely hard to find at the time Dracula adaptation with Mignola that I would see in Wizard magazine to his incredible cover work on Johnny Double and Vigilante among others. Later I found out that he was the genius behind some of my favorite comics projects ever- Batman Black and White and Wednesday�s Comics. One of his projects captured my imagination more than all the others and that was Batman/Houdini: The Devil�s Workshop. I�m a giant nerd for Houdini and I know Mark has a knack for painting historical subjects so when I was able to snag the last spot on his commission list for Heroes Con I knew exactly what the subject would be. Thank you so much to Mark for creating this stunning piece and thank you to Jason at Essential Sequential for providing the opportunity! Mark just opened a list for OAX and I can�t recommend enough that you jump at the chance!

One of the greatest magicians and showmen of the early 20th century. Always shown shrouded in mystery and magic, just like he's shrouded in darkness by Chiarello where only his intense stare can penetrate through.
