Dampyr #105 (2008) pages 76-77: Young Harlan

These two pages flash back to Dampyr #51, in which a young Harlan Draka discovered the deadly effect his blood could have on vampires:

“And now I'll drink your blood, Harlan Draka, like I drank Stana's!”

“Damn you! Ahh!”

“I'll cut your chest open with your own knife!”

“Ahh!”

“What…? Ahh! My hands! What's happening to me?”

“What happened? Are you fainting at the sight of blood?”

“I… I don't…”

“Damn murderer!”

“Noo! Yyyaaaagh!”

“How could this happen? What did I do?”

In the last panel, Duke Nergal's naphidim (fallen angels) watch from the shadows, because Nergal orchestrated the attack on Harlan when he was supposed to be left alone. This scene is the evidence that the three Fates offer at Caleb Lost's celestial trial in hopes of disqualifying Nergal as prosecutor, ending the trial.
