I thought long and hard about what I wanted my next card from Phil to be, and I ultimately settled on Kinetix! She's such an overlooked Legionnaire, but I love all her (many) looks, and she definitely needs more love in the comic art world. I asked Phil to draw her in my favourite of all her costumes, and the end result is one of my favourite sketch cards in my whole collection!

He really went all out with this one. The pose is fantastic, and I'm really glad that he chose to have Zoe showing off her powers. Phil's full torso card option allows for the entire costume to be visible, which meant he was able to include just so many awesome details. Where do I even start? I love that in addition to Zoe's trademark green lipstick, Phil gave her green nails (at my request), and green eye shadow (his own idea), neither of which are usually present in the comics, but they feel so appropriate for the character that I don't mind in the slightest. The angle he chose let him really emphasize how Zoe's symbol is always levitating a little bit off her chest, and he captured the effect perfectly. He even managed to include her flight ring, and I looooooove it when artists remember to include the flight ring!

Apart from the awesome pose and all the pretty details, I think it's the colours that really elevate this card into one of my favourites (my favourite colours just so happen to be blue and green, which definitely helps! He even used blue to shade the green half of the time). Other than that, I love the way Phil coloured her telekinetic energy so that it seems to be glowing like it does in the comics, and I love the blending and shading he did to make her sleeves look like they're shiny! He got the shiny gold of her bracelets, belt buckle, and emblem on point, too.

For a tiny little sketch card, it's got so much packed into it. I'm delighted with the quality Phil put into this for me, and I'm definitely looking forward to getting more from him!

As if there wasn't enough reason to stare at her chest, we have the levitating symbol for us to fixate upon.! What a classic color scheme! Marvel Girl like!

I don't know if I've ever heard it confirmed from any actual Legion creators, but a lot of fans are of the opinion that she's the Legion's very own Jean Grey. (Don't tell Cyclops, but I like Zoe better!)

She. Is. Fierce. Those eyes are like daggers being stabbed through my heart! Sweet sketch card by Phil! And I know it's a different Moy but this goes nicely next to the blue background Jeff Moy card you posted just before this one in your CAF feed side by side :)
