Description
John Byrne’s *Fantastic Four* became legendary because he got it. He respected the Kirby engine and pushed it forward with smart, confident storytelling.

This Negative Zone page feels like classic FF—clear action, dangerous tech, and characters who sound like real scientists under pressure. Reed stays cool, Sue keeps things grounded.

The oversized art is the secret sauce. Big machines, strange worlds, real scale. Nothing cramped or decorative—it all feels built. And looks super impressive. John did a few issues of his legendary run in the oversized format--- I wish he had done all of them this way.

A Byrne FF banger! Love that first wide double panel with Thing and Reed, very nice!

Restoring the grandeur of the mission of the FF as intrepid explorers!  Byrne was a one man show and brought that Lee/Kirby showmanship back to the title!

Yup, Byrne loved and understood what Kirby was all about, and he purposely set out to bring that to his own run on the book.
