Description

This incredible Optimus Prime vs. Megatron double-page pin-up by Alan Kupperberg and Dave Hunt pits the Autobot and Decepticon leaders against each other in the shadow of the Twin Towers in New York City circa 1990. Just a stunning, poster-worthy Transformers image that truly stands apart from any other interiors in the original Marvel series - I was prepared to go to Cybertron and back to win it when it popped up at auction earlier this year!

Transformers was part of my Holy Trinity of '80s-era cartoons along with G.I. Joe and Robotech, and I've been getting back into all three very heavily over the past 5-6 years. Super thrilled to add this one to my collection!

There can't be many Optimus vs. Megatron splashes (let alone DPS) in the original series and the twin towers make the perfect backdrop for the battle.  Congrats!!
