Original Art to Girls' Love Stories page 22 (page 2 of story 3) by Mike Sekowsky and Dick Giordano, digitally restored and colored by Jeff Tamplin. Restoration includes removal of dust and scratches, un-erased pencils lines, editorial blue lines, glue stains, and surface wear.
I recently purchased the original art to this page (loved the gorgeous girls and the Giordano inks) and digitally colored it for fun without having seen a published copy of this page, or being aware of the original print colors. I colored it using the vintage palate and with color schemes typical of the era and of silver and bronze age DC romance comics in particular. I colored two different versions, one with the lead female character as a redhead, and another with this character as a blonde. Turns out she was blonde in the published version (see digital published color version and the scan of the published page). If anyone is reading this, please let me know in the comments if you prefer my redhead or blonde versions, or if you like the originial published colors best! Thanks, Jeff
