DescriptionHere's a pretty cool piece. This is our cover to issue #1 of the Red Sonja / Spiderman crossover that debuted last summer. This was Mike's first ever attempt at drawing Venom, and I think he did an incredible job. I gave him a ton of good reference (mostly Todd Venom stuff), so he made sure the size and viciousness was all there. Once Peter colored it, this was easily one of my favorite pieces that we've done.Social/Sharing |

Agreed..love the Spider-Man on this cover, but the team-up for these two leaves a big questionmark. Regardless, an awesome looking piece overall.

Spidey and Red Sonja teamed up to fight the guy in the background back in the Byrne/Claremont Marvel Team-Up run from the 80s (70s?)

Man Mike's Venom rocks hard core! I really hope he does more Venom in the future!

nice looking cover. Though the position of her right hand is painfully impossible. Try it.

Breathtaking cover - one of my top 5 favorite Turner pieces! FYI...Brad, I own a few swords of my own and had no problem replicating the position you mention... maybe you just don't possess the super skills of RS ;)

One of the worst cross over ideas ever and at the same time one of the coolest covers all in one. That Spidey is stunning and I love the take on Venom.

Wow, Its beautiful... A very nice composition and very effective body language too. I would love to see it in color.

nice looking cover. this sort of defines the problems with comics in the 90's with great art and no concept/story. i was hoping the "image" era was over.
