Description

Super-Con 2007 in San Jose was just an Amazing experience- at one table was all the Pinoy Legends-Chan, Dezuniga, Bulanadi and Nino. If you are unfamiliar with the contributions of these gentlemen...Check out Comic Book Artist #4 by Top Shelf. These guys were all over the place in the 70s and provided the groundwork for many pinoys to continue to make great contributions to the industry.

Alex Nino's art is wild and unexpected and really in a class of his own. He rarely does traditional superheroes expect a Batman story here and there....so I was tempted to see his interpretation on the Big Red S.....undeniably it is Kal-El but undeniably Alex Nino....possibly his version of Superman's Fortress of Solitude.

What made it even better was that he is local and I got to meet his family and see more of his unpublished artwork first hand...beautiful and wild works of art.....Maraming Salamat po (Thanks very Much) Alex!!
