Description

Ink on paper publicity drawing for a 1930 Mickey Mouse cartoon, created just a year after the first appearance of Mickey in "Steamboat Willie". Probably done by Disney artist Win Smith. Heritage auctioned another version of this a few years ago with some differences in the characters. I love that 1930's Disney art and I was thrilled to get this finished piece with Mickey, Minnie and supporting characters, from the dawn of the Disney empire. About 14" long.

This calibre of early material rarely turns up. A very important piece relating to both film and comics history.
