Allred, Mike - Madman & Rocketeer Commission

Here's another Dave Stevens Tribute piece. I've enjoyed Mike Allred's Madman series for years. He's managed to take tons of influences and merge them into something very unique. When I was trying to come up with an idea as for what to have him draw, he just seemed a natural for getting across the charm and, for lack of a better word, innocence of The Rocketeer. Pairing each of the heroes up with their respective girlfriends sort of demanded the scene happen at The Bulldog Cafe, and I love how Mike incorporated it into the action as well. Does Frank have the $ to pay for those repairs? I'm enjoying the results of having creators mix their own properties with those of Dave Stevens.
