Micronauts 35 pg 47 w/ COLOR GUIDE

This issue was produced in a little bit of a rush, by all accounts, and it shows. It's notable for being the only issue which features King Argon wearing black Force Commander armor, which was outed as a 'coloring error' in the letters page of issue #48. (Perhaps someone got a smack on the wrist from the license-holder?) Looking at the original page, I don't blame the colorist one bit, as the inking (and I presume, the original pencils) certainly suggest Karza-ish black armor.

Even the coloring must have been done in a rush, as, without a lot of work being put into color highlights and reflections, the supposedly ebony armor seems an embarrassingly flat purple.

Perhaps the rushed product can only be expected when your main artist of the past year and a half leaves on the eve of a double-sized issue. A mad scramble must have ensued, could not have been much fun putting this one together.
