Description
For every Princess there is a warrior and a quest and Princess Projectra of the Legion was no exception. Her father sent Karate Kid to the 20th century ( and into the pages of his own comic book ) to prove himself worthy of his daughters hand in marriage . This classic Girl's Romance Cover captures the "Parting is such Sweet Sorrow " moment, where Jeckie watches Karate Kid leave. Since this is stuff of wishes, romance, dreams and fairytales, it seemed appropriate to have Dream Girl nearby. She alone, holds the secret to how it will turn out , that love, tragedy, victory and death are all tied together for this couple. Legion artist Greg LaRocque put pencils to paper and brought it to life. He did some other gems which I will also post and was, as ever so easy to work with. Chris Ivy helped with logo/final inks to give it a deep & rich royal look deserving of the first daughter of Orando : The Princess Projectra

I didn't guess this was based the Rosenberger cover before I saw the Additional Image. Maybe because the legs were posed differently. Anyway, it's obvious you love the Legion. And you love "Legion love".

It is interesting some artists use the cover as a firm template when working on a re-Legion commission , others see it as a conceptional jumpimg off point..Greg falls into the latter catagory. And yes, I am a 31st century romantic, who loves Legion Love.

Greg did a terrific job on pencils and GET OUT OF TOWN, the IVY inks are amazing. Chris is at the VERY TOP of his game.

Nice job by Greg and Chris and another example of your incredibly imaginative theme.
