Description

The original plan was to get three of these commissions done, one each for my niece and two nephews. But, since I was dealing through an intermediary, as opposed to dealing with Don directly, it was more or less out of my control. I would of course have preferred to do all three pieces at the same time, but I was told it would be better to space out the requests. So I got this first one done, and I've been waiting ever since. Anyway, this piece was done for my oldest nephew, who loved trains when he was younger. The sad part is that I've been waiting so long for the other two pieces that he's actually outgrown his interest in trains. Also, while I would love to be able to give him this piece, I don't want the other two children to feel slighted. So I guess until I can get the other two done, this one will remain in my safe keeping. My thanks to JW and Don Rosa for this.

A joyful piece. Donald never really grew up, and playing with trains suits him.
