Cable (Series 1) 38 pg 06 & 07 SPLASH PAGE (Micronauts Guest Star)

I've been on the lookout for pages from these two issues of CABLE for years. Another minor goal achieved! Level up!

This is the first time the Micronauts had been seen since the climax of 'The New Voyages.' Considering the Micronauts had ALL DIED (quite convincingly, as well) at that time, their appearance here was something of a surprise.

Speaking of appearance, how do you like the new-look, very 1990's Leifeld-inspired Micronauts here? Bug, at least, seems unchanged - aside from his new, Spidey-inspired posture.

Note (in the published color file) the characters actually refer to themselves as 'The Micronauts' here. There must have been a licensing slap-on-the-wrist after this, as further guest appearances in Alpha Flight and Captain Marvel either called them 'The Microns' or 'The Champions of the Microverse.' Elegant that is not.
