Such gorgeous inking and spotting of blacks! A primer in the discipline of storytelling as well. (That newspaper!! Hard to tell on the scan but it looks like it was all done by hand. In these days of Photoshop, how many of even the best inkers could do that?) CONGRATS.

Hey Mike. I thought the same exact thing when the scan was first presented to me. But I assumed it HAD to be at least partially stat work in production. Then I received it and yup, it's ALL done by hand!

Although I am not a fan of the series, I LOVE this strip! This is my favorite Mary Perkins strip I have seen so far.

Hey Thomas. Thanks for posting your opinion. It's actually very refreshing to see someone choose this one as the best they've ever seen, particularly when most people would not think much of it just because there isn't much of Mary on it. But that tells me you are more interested in layout, composition, spotting of blacks, etc., which is great!
