Nice pick up Timbo! Any idea what year it might be from?

Thanks, Rich. I'm pretty sure it was done during the Dark Phoenix Saga.

Congrats! You have a quick trigger finger, this beauty wasn't for sale for ten minutes!!! The fact that it wasn't published doesn't matter to me, it's in my top five of any Dark Phoenix images! It really found a good home in your vintage Byrne sketch collection! That's a REAL GEM!!!

I'm glad it found a happy home. It's really hard to see what a nice piece this is from a scan. I believe the piece was drawn at a Convention just before issue uncanny xmen 137 came out. I'm glad it arrived safe and sound you probably laughed at how much packaging was around it.

It really is extra nice in person. And your packaging was perfect! Thanks again!

Congrats Tim! This is a real beauty. I am always amazed at how tight JBs pencil work was during this era at Marvel. No ink, but highly finished work.
