Yes, it's a exceptional combination of a large central figure in a singular pose set off against a complementary and detailed background to give off an almost 3D effect.

I remember this issue very well. When I saw the image I was instantly hooked and grabbed the issue and couldn't get to the register quick enough to pay for it so I could see what was inside. I loved all the specialty armors. Fantsatic cover!

I think it makes the clear statement that you should be able to spot a Bob Layton cover from outer space! I loved this cover when it hit the stands as well. Bob is a tremendous draftsman.
