Very nice indeed! I've never read about Flack being a direct influence, but many of the stylistic flourishes I see here, including the large eyes and the sparkles, certainly became common shoujo manga tropes. I've read that certain American pen-and-ink artists from Flack's era were known influences (Brinkley, who looks to be an influence on Flack's work, and Ethel Hays are frequently cited as influences) so, it is certainly within the realm of possibility that her art inspired some of the shoujo artists in some form or fashion.
The great thing about CAF is there is so much art, that a wrong click is never a wrong turn and you find yourself in a gallery you've not seen before. And that gallery has a stunning vintage piece like this. I love the serendipitous art encounter scrolling sometimes brings.
