Description

Beck modified the original cover when he painted this recreation in 1978. The shadow of the original, generic, menacing villain was replaced with that of Captain Marvel's great nemesis, Dr. Sivana. The background color was also changed from yellow to lime green, which to my eyes makes the color scheme of the recreation far superior -- green has always been my favorite color!

This reminds me of the classic Shadow pulp covers. CC Beck one of the hearts. His style is very deceptive in its simplicity, but very fluid.
