Joker (Death of the Family) - Batman Issue 16, Page 5 (Backup Story)

Death of the Family was a once in a lifetime story featuring a Joker we have never seen before. With his face strapped on to his head with little more than a few belts, this was an intimidating, terrifying look at a villain who we thought had no more boundaries left to cross.

The backup story in this issue was incredible was Joker arguing with a number of Batman's rogues to explain why he above all is the "top dog."

Perhaps no greater page in the story nailed this when he let Two-Face put a loaded gun next to his face, begging him to pull the trigger. The crazy look in Joker's eye tells the reader he is not "joking", embuing a rare confidence we rarely get to see in a character.

Artist Jock is at the peak of his game, in this story and his signature ink heavy design brings out the terror and dread in such a sequence.
