DescriptionIf you'd like to have a commission featuring The Spirit, the character created in the 40s by the genius of Will Eisner, what's the first name that would come to your mind? We're talking about a private detective, a crime fighter, living in this hard-boiled world surrounded by villains, kooks, and femme fatales. Uhm. Think about it. Hard-boiled. Femme fatales. Does that ring a bell? Yeah. The Spanish Master Jordi Bernet, artist of the hard-boiled masterpiece "Torpedo" and also famous for his sensual women. With the help of Miguel Angel Dominguez (Jordi's art dealer, please check his artcoholics website), I was able to ask him and he was very happy to do it. Awesome! It was not a very long wait, everything went smoothly and when I finally opened the package, I was blown away! A cover art quality illustration that sort of reminds me of both Will Eisner and Norman Rockwell while being 100% pure Bernet. Outstanding piece indeed. Huge thanks to Miguel and Jordi! Never would have thought of this, but what a perfect combo of character and artist--great idea! Love that pose, perfect for Bernet...

I am not sure how I missed seeing this piece for so long. I am a big fan of both the Spirit and Jordi Bernet. This is sooooo gooooood! Jordi really went above and beyond on this piece.
