You already know I love Stefano Intini's art.

Also, I love his peculiar and incredibly funny rendition of Disney characters. All of them. But there's always at least one character you feel the artist shines. For me, one of the Disney characters Stefano draws best is, without any doubt, Magica De Spell.

(ok, I admit I would take his rendition over any other by Disney artists around)

Created by Carl Barks, Magica is a sorceress that lives on the slopes of Mount Vesuvius, next to Naples, Italy. Her primary motivation is to steal Uncle Scrooge's Number One Dime and melt it in the fires of the volcano to turn it into a powerful magical amulet, capable of granting the Midas Touch.

Here's a magnificent pencil, ink, and ink wash piece featuring the sorceress Magica mixing some kind of concoction into the cauldron (see also the Scrooge-shaped fumes). Also, her crow Ratface is in the scene, as well as some beautiful bats that remind me of Chuck Jones' (my all-time favorite animation director).
I love the technique Stefano chose, it keeps the drawing so fresh, dynamic, and alive.
Sheer perfection.

This might be my favorite piece by Intini in your collection. So fun and expressive but also just beautifully rendered. Congrats, Fabio!
