Description

Brian Bolland is one of my all-time favorite cover artists. As much as I love his work on ANIMAL MAN, WONDER WOMAN, et al, I really wanted a cover with Judge Dredd. I liked this one because it's a near full-body action shot and he's blasting away with the Lawgiver. The detailing is meticulous per usual for Bolland; you have to look close, but there are even individual hairs on the tarantulas' bodies and legs. I also get an inset of D.R. AND QUINCH as a bonus...thus fulfilling my other collecting goal of having a representative piece from each of Alan Moore's early works.

Despite this not happening to Dredd in the story, like so many misleading covers over the years, this is a great cover.
