Tonight I'm posting two classic covers by Andy Kubert.

This is the variant cover to Ultimate Iron Man #1, inked by Danny Miki, and it was also used as the cover to the Ultimate Iron Man #1-5 TPB.

Love Iron Man's pose on this one as he lifts off into the sky with the full moon in the background.

Nice art, and a pleasure for me to see Miki pull back on the inks a bit, as I find his stuff is usually so overwrought.

A heroic pose and overall image indeed! I always thought the Ultimate Iron Man armor had a real unique look to it and Kubert does a great rendition here. Meticulous Miki inks take it over the top as a worthy cover image! Congrats!
