Description

This is the comic I tried to get into my youngest child's nursery, so as to indoctrinate her into comics. The wife said "no" because of the blood, so I ended up using the Cover to issue #1 instead :(

Anyway, I still love it and think of the little one as a result.

I've always loved the power and emotion on this piece and can't believe that someone actually created it.

I believe it's a blend of oil and acrylic paints, with a varnish over the top.

Apparently they did a Skrull Comic Variant of it as well.

Big congrats! Ariel does some sublime color work. Really on display to here with the amount of colors having to be displayed with Cable. And love the juxtaposition of having the big bad bloodied soldier of the future along with the innocent newborn Hope in the same image. They both got similar expressions, though :) Congrats, again!

There is something really touching and serene about this cover, though you know the scene is set amidst a gruesome war. Not to mention it is painted beautifully. Bravo!
