DescriptionHere’s a lovely published piece from Maleev’s DD run. This was the first time Elektra makes an appearance and Matt just pours his heart out to her while she stays silent most of the time. It’s a fantastic moment from a great issue with Maleev at his best. He tends to draw his poses on paper and would edit the composition of the page in photoshop which is the case here. It also looks like he digitally painted over the sitting pose on this page for the cover of the issue. Thanks Annabel for this!Social/Sharing |

Beautiful! To have a piece of work from this incredible run (and a published Elektra, no less!) is wonderful! Many congrats. This scene in the book was lovely, too, and underscored just how off his game Matt was... After enduring the continual “blunt trauma” of the media circus his life had been turned into, he was ill-prepared for the sudden appearance of Elektra, razor sharp and suffering no fools. Painful to read, but heavenly to experience! :) Great piece! Congrats again!

Thanks Jason! Couldn't have said it better myself! It truly was uncomfortable seeing Matt so vulnerable in this moment. For him to see Elektra must be like seeing a ghost from the past full of mixed emotions.
