Red Hood by Ron Salas

I never truly liked Jason Todd until he became the Red Hood. And this costume is by far my favorite for him. I like that Jason wears both gun holsters and a bat symbol to piss Batman off. Anyway, I commissioned Ron Salas to draw Red Hood here and he of course did an awesome job, just like he always does. I love the shadows on Jason's outfit, the explosive background, and that left arm & gun coming towards the viewer's eye. If someone at DC would give Ron a Bat-book to draw, I would gladly buy multiple copies. Big thanks to Ron for always going above and beyond on these commissions!

Awesome. It's really cool to see the WIP pics and how the background really shapes the end result of the piece

The gun works like a cape when looked at far away, but draws you in closer to see that cool that sleek machined surface. Awesome use of foreshortening and use of space for the illusion in a 2D medium.

Man, this is awesome! I gotta look into Ron's stuff! Depth, energy, and love the negative space up top, less so on the bottom. Really a killer image all around, Travis. Congrats!
