DescriptionYeah, Surfer is there, but he shows up about 10 minutes after you start to look at this force of nature.Galan is the focus here. This is what his presence must FEEL like. A stunning commission from Jimbo Salgado that fortunately became available after the original commissioner had to back out. The detail on this 17"x22" is mind staggering. I've been telling friends, Jimbo is on a ridiculous tear with this recent round of commissions. Of particular note here is the technique used to backlight Galan where the void of space is behind him. I also appreciate how he worked right to the damn edge of the board, and how the blueline markings show through at places. I tried to upload a big scan and almost broke the internet. There have been a few, but this is quite possibly the best Galactus commission of the past year!

There's a lot to be said for "right place, right time" acquisitions. Congratulations on your good fortune. As comic fans, we all know the power and presence the name Galactus conveys. But what makes this image so special is that, if you were to show it to a person who never read a comic before, it would STILL have that effect. Absolutely stunning ML!

Whew, tons of outstanding detail here. You must've had, and are still having, a helluva time poring over this. Edge to edge detailed goodness, and I love how big G is looking right at the viewer. Congrats on swooping in there, M!

most impressive rendition of Galactus. just the detail in the background with all the machinery is enough for a commission by itself.You then have the centerpiece of Galactuse in full glory, just looking at the different parts of the body armorand the little details are amazing. I have always been fascinated by the head gear he wears, it's a very elaborate design but befitting one of his stature. A really nice pick up M.L.

This is Fantastic! Love the background detail on this and how the peice still makes sure to have Galactus the focus. Especailly his eyes, it's as if he's looking into the viewers soul!

Is it weird that I see Galactus working out on his exercise machine with Surfer as his trainer? Lol! This piece is amazing for its details. But I really enjoy where Salgado chose to keep things simple with shapes only or solid color. Just a beautiful piece! Huge score, Mikail! Congrats!

GALACTUS MUST FEED! No, really, it takes a lot of energy to stay Cosmically Swole! :FLEX: I never get tired of seeing Galactus images, and Salgado really killed this one. As you said, that's a great trick behind Galan to bring the image forward and give depth. And Holy Detail, Batman! Surfer who? ;) Really superb piece. Congrats!
