Description

I thought this was a fun page with a fantastic balance of black and white and the wonderful frenetic energy you would expect from Sienkiewicz’s inks. I love how he fades the far eye of the lady’s face in the fourth panel, it’s a technique you see a lot in some of his paintings and pencil portraits but here we get to see him adapt it for ink. Check out the close ups for the delightful inky chaos.

Great lines and shapes! Really nice faces and dramatic staging and shading. The symmetry of the page really works for me and I love the arresting portrait in the middle followed by the chaotic final scene
