Description

Though Grell didn't know it, this piece from Dragon Con 2019 was my first commision ever. He did a great job overnight on this 11x17 pencil piece. Smudges do double duty as energy blasts and motion lines. I also learned a lot about owning art; I bought my first Itoya portfolio at the show, and Grell showed me how to safely load the art into it.

I like this style more than some of Grell's overworked, precise drawings in recent years. This piece really reminds me of why I liked his art.
