Description

A beautiful page from Judge Death Lives by Brian Bolland featuring Dredd and Anderson against Judge Fire.

I do, in fact, collect things other than Carol Day and/or David Wright art.

What a fine example - when is Bolland NOT perfect?

Great Judge Anderson close up using her powers!  You can see her strain and beauty as the big hook of the page before the payoff panel to all the action.

I am.sure if you asked Bolland, he would rather collect David Wright art, but that's a total guess on my part.  This  is a great get though and any Dredd fan would think this is the best thing.. plus Anderson has much better hair than Carol Day..but again.. I am just making stuff up.. I mean it's possible to collect more than one thing.

The Dark Judges is easily the best Judge Dredd storyline of all time, and this is a GREAT example from that by the GREAT Brian Bolland!!!

Gorgeous page! The Anderson shot is superb, and the Judge Fire explosion panel is so dynamic.

It'd mindboggling to think just how long ago it was that Brian Bolland was already THIS good!

Nothing like seeing a little Judge Death fire and brimstone to help warm my bones on this cold December morning.  Exceptional page!  Happy holidays!  Thanks for sharing!

The bottom three panels are magical. You are going to cut them out and send them to me as a gift? You magnificently generous vandal, you. Seriously though panel 8 is one of the reasons I loved Brians art so much. Sorta burned out on Brian now. Same thing happened with me on Gibbons and O'Neill. Tastes change. My Bolland artwork is now open to offers from anyone who is still suffering from Bolland Addiction.

Have to agree with you on panel 8...it just boggles my mind the amount of effort that went into creating that. The man clearly loves his craft.

The craft being executed in British comics at this time by the likes of Gibbos, Leach, and perhaps king of them all, Brian Bolland, just becomes more impressive the further along we go. Congrats as always on yet another magnificent addition to your collection!

Ha!  If you wanted to show that you do in fact collect pieces OTHER than Wright art, you sure picked a helluva way to do it.  This is about as nice as 80's Bolland gets.  While certainly earlier, the exquisite linework here is every bit as sublime as anything you would see in this decade of works.  Even Killing Joke.  Anyway, now that we know you do collect other things, you can go back to posting more of that gorgeous Wright art.  (But I enjoyed the brief interruption.  It was fun.  Haha!)

I thought my Bolland Judge Dredd ship had sailed...and then this absolute beauty became available. A one-and-done example...although that is not my style! Anyway, to your point, back to David Wright updates!
