DescriptionI saw this page at the 2010 CCI when long time collector John Cogan purchased it from Mike Burkey. John consulted me about the purchase and I recommended that he buy it. I also said that should he ever let it go to please get in touch with me, That's what I love about long time collectors like John. When they say they will do something, they remember. John contacted me prior to WonderCon and offered the piece to me. Thank you, John. I love this page. It comes from my favorite Neal Adams Batman story, The Ra's Al Ghul Saga. The storytelling is fabulous featuring three cinematic tiers, iconic Bat-memorabilia like the Grandfather clock entrance to the Batcave, the giant penny, long wind blown capes, Neal and Dick. Oh my. Pages like this show why the legends became legends in the first place. This one has all the classic Adams/Giordano ingredients.Congrats !

Love the giant penny! Oh, and that's a great shot of Batman standing next to it too! Congrats on a great page Rich! And kudos to John for being true to his word.

A terrific Adams page by any measure. Also gotta love those Giordano inks when he was at the height of his powers, just a sweet complement to Adams' organic flowing pencils. Congratulations Richard! (And by the way, if you are ever interested in letting go of any Adams pages, please keep me in mind, I am still looking for a nice example for my collection ;)

My favorite Adams Batman issue. I have every page lodged in my memory. One of the few comics to give me a nostalgic vibe. Congrats on picking this one up!

How about the two page origin recap sequence? Or page 18 right before the Batman and Robin fight page? It has that huge close up panel of Batman. Or the last page with the Talia reveal? Hubba. Hubba. That issue is twenty two pages of fantastic. Top that off with a classic Adams cover, and it hooked a generation.

There's the fight page with Ubu and also the leopard spine cracking moment. But, yep, that last page with Talia would certainly fetch big bucks if it ever comes on the market.

Another Adams issue I fondly recall. This page has a lot going for it, from the diversity, the way the story flows, and of course, Adams Batman.
