Description

The Cursed Earth is my absolute favourite Dredd story, and my favourite part of that epic is towards the end (prog 83 onwards) when Dredd and Co are perhaps thinking their pretty much home and dry.

And of course thats always when things are about to go drastically wrong.

In this case, they find themselves up against Ex-President Booth's Robot army - The Legion of the Damned!
Its Dredd's arrival in Death Valley, that awakens the rusting Robot army. And unfortunately for Dredd, and despite the passage of time, they are still loyal to both Booth and their programming of killing ALL judges.
Mighty, mighty stuff!

So im really pleased, to put in mildly, to have gotten this superb commission direct from the original artist Mick McMahon.

Mick's work is just mind-blowing, and he is without a doubt one of the greatest and most respected artists that has worked in British comic's.
A 100% solid gold 2000ad legend.

UPDATE: Michael Cassidy, over on the 2000ad forum, very kindly took the time to colour this commission, and to create a '2014' version of the Prog 83 cover. And the results are absolutely fantastic. Very pleased with this. Thanks, Mick! (This can be viewed in the 'additional images' section)

Congrats, Iain! Fantastic work from Mick; definitely my favourite of his recent commissions. There's a lot to love about this piece; such a great new take on a familiar scene...
