Famed British artist David Shrigley is best known for his canny, farcical and deliberately dysfunctional cartoon-like drawings that observe everyday fears of the human condition and conventional social matters. Finding humor in the bizarre and inconsequential with immediate and attainable appeal, his work often asks questions about the nature of contemporary art and its audience. He has had an international career spanning two decades and had a weekly cartoon in The Guardian’s Weekend Magazine. Shrigley was shortlisted in 2013 for Britain's prestigious Turner Prize.
