My collection of DOOM sketchcards that has been accumulating for around 10 years now. I've relaxed on the Doom cards the past few years, but that doesn't mean I'm at all bored with this lot.
Back in the day, Skybox came out with a new chase card innovation - actual sketches of comic characters, included in boxes of Marvel trading cards. The presentation was enhanced by designing the cards as to look like miniature comic book covers, complete with fold and bleed instructions, overlay targets, and blue lines. It's a format I dearly love to this day, and hasn't been topped, in my opinion.
Eventually, this gallery will include examples from 'Marvel Creator's Collection 1998', 'Silver Age 1998', 'Marvel Masterpieces', and a few others. I plan to eventually fill out the postings with as much creator info as I can, but my knowledge of some series is incomplete. I'll do the best I can, but I'm making the posting the priority.
A few words of explaination for terms. 'Pack-Pulled' means just that, the card and sketch appear just as they did after being pulled from their product. 'Aftermarket' cards are sketches obtained at shows or through mail-order, on... er... spare card blanks. 'Uncut' cards are mail-order commissions done on blank leftover product cards, which still retain their original not-trimmed-for-insertion-in-packs dimensions.
