Description

Darick Robertson was working on Transmetropolitan at the time he did this sketch, so I was surprised he chose to draw Wolverine having an "ouch" moment. Three years later, Marvel released his first issue of Wolverine. I doubt this was a hint of things to come. I think he just like the "That's gotta hurt" notion of Logan maiming himself with his claws.

Obtained at Comic-Con International San Diego in 2000.
