DescriptionWowza! An explosive Invaders cover featuring the entire team--Captain America, Bucky, the Human Torch, Toro and Sub-Mariner--drawn by the King himself, Jack Kirby! Marvel introduced the Invaders in 1975, to tell flashback stories set during WWII, assembling an assortment of Timely superheroes to battle the Nazi menace. Early in the series, the Invaders set up headquarters in England in the home of Lord James Montgomery Falsworth, the Union Jack--Britain's Captain America. In this dynamic cover, Kirby depicts the entire Invaders team meeting Union Jack for the first time. This is Union Jack's first-ever cover appearance. I just love this.Social/Sharing |

Bill, a stunner. I love Union Jack who is the British Captain America. This is a spectacular Bronze Age Invaders cover!

The first and the best Union Jack cover appearance! Roy Thomas has written that he was particularly knocked out by the King’s work when he first saw this image. Great stuff!

Union Jack's costume was a great design and I loved seeing him drawn big and bold by the King on this cover.

Perhaps the nicest "prototypical" cover of the run? You get pretty clear shots of all the team members, despite the guest start taking up most of the cover. I've also always really liked Union Jack as well, so that helps!
